We're Here to Listen
We are a small independent business based in Castle Donington, Leicestershire .
We provide Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy for children and teenagers, adults and couples.
As experienced trainers, we offer Mental Health First Aid Training accredited by Mental Health First Aid England, as well as bespoke training packages for businesses regarding employee welfare and mental health.
Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy are types of talking therapy offered face to face, in a safe, private and confidential setting. With a counsellor, you can discuss your thoughts and feelings and explore how they might be affecting your life.
The counsellor uses elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Attachment Theory and a
Person-Centred Approach and with your collaboration, supports you to find a way of feeling better.
Anyone can attend counselling; you don’t need to have a diagnosis from a G.P. Many people start counselling because they “feel that their life is a mess”, “they are feeling anxious or low” or more serious matters such as getting help with a recent bereavement or life-changing event.
Often clients feel that they benefit from the opportunity to discuss their life with someone impartial rather than a family member. Perhaps because they may have been feeling troubled and cannot see a clear way through their difficulty and would like support while they make the changes they want.
We work with you to create bespoke training for your workforce designed to reduce the stigma of mental illness and engage employees in looking after their physical and mental health.
We train your workforce to be Mental Health First Aiders through the accredited programme developed by Mental Health First Aid England
Life is a journey and I bring with me not only my expertise as an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist but the skills and experiences from a 30-year teaching career in secondary schools, not to mention my personal journey of experiences too, as someone’s daughter, sister, aunt, girlfriend, wife, widow, decorator or gardener to name a few!
I hold a B. Ed (Hons), MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as being a registered Instructor for Mental Health First Aid England with Level 4 Safeguarding. I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and adhere to their Ethical Frameworks for working with Adults and Children and Young People (aged 4-18 years).
